Poem: The Web

Through the woods I meandered one eve
Head bowed and threading many a thought.
Of you, of John, of life; a heavy tangled weave
The demons and desires, the hard battles fought.
So many things in life to lose, to grieve
I stepped off the path searching for what I sought.
At my wits end, doubting all I believe
I happened upon a lesson I’ve ‘fore been taught..
Thoughts trap and trip, often dare to deceive
But when His Light shines, and so upon them caught
No longer darkness does the mind conceive
Not mottled and uninspired, untethered and for naught
But an intricate, purposed, and inspired reprieve
For from what seemed tangled and tattered, He has wrought
Renewed and transformed, new heights they would achieve

  1. Oh, Deanna, such a gift from our God!Your words ring with all the emotions and thoughts of where we are on this journey of grief and questions and seeing His hand hold us in the pain. Thank you... it's a keeper. Love to you!
